The biggest thing that I've noticed this week is that the grape clusters seem to have more berries. They look pretty healthy, as far as I can tell.
The skies in this part of California have been less smoke-filled for the last four or five days, which means easier breathing, but the rest of California is still dotted with fires. According to Cal Fire stats released yesterday, 1,459 fires are still burning in California, with more than 423,240 acres burning. Those are some scary statistics, don't you think?
I added a picture of the clearing skies, which have been a welcome relief. You can compare this photo with the smoke/sky photo from the June 25th entry. To get a closer look at either of these photos, click on them.
I'll be back next week because Friday is the 4th of July and we'll be out of here, yea. Have a happy, enjoyable, SAFE, 4th of July!
